This doll represents a geisha. Her body is made of painted silk over composition. Her facial features (eyebrows, eyelids, flushed cheeks, and red lips) are painted, dyed and molded. Silk ear lobes show under her black hair and her eyelashes are set in. The doll's black hair is worn in an elaborate coiffure, and the hairline around her face and the back of her neck is set in with individual hairs. She has silk hands with individual fingers. The doll is looking to her right, exposing the nape of her neck. Her outer kimono is aqua silk with blue, white, yellow, orange, and red floral designs. She has her right sleeve removed, to reveal a second layer of a mustard yellow with cream-colored dots. She has a purple brocaded obi (sash). Her hair is decorated with celluloid hairpins and silver straps. There are cream pleats sewn to the seat of kimono. She wears straw zori sandals with aqua silk thongs, and tabi socks. She is positioned on a natural wooden base with a few paper maple leaves strewn on it.
