Description

This sake cup, or guinomi, is made of porcelain with a woven exterior. The interior is painted with the head of a court lady in the Emperor's household, inside a scalloped aqua border. The court lady wears a red and white kimono and has yellow hair ornaments. The woven exterior is made of orange-brown colored split bamboo. It is pictured with AB 802, which has an almost identical design even though it was given by a different donor.
