Description

This sake bottle is made from a hollowed gourd. It is rattle-shaped with a wide, round bottom and a long, narrow neck.  There is a fern-like drawing on one side in ink, which has been outlined fully but not entirely colored in. There is no stopper. The bottle is made from "Lagenaria siceraria" (calabash; Japanese: hyoutan).
