This child's hat is made of woven straw and has a rounded brim. It is called a mugiwara bōshi in Japanese. A black ribbon hat band is tied in a bow in the back, and there is a small white and green felt disk with Japanese text on the left side. An elastic band for under the chin hangs from each side. The hat is size 57 cm and was used as part of an elementary school uniform.
